Seminar "Investment climate: the experience of the European Union"
The visiting expert seminar "Investment climate: the experience of the European Union" was held on June 15, 2016 at the European Business Association in the framework of the international scientific and educational project Jean Monnet project 565672-EPP-1-2015-1-RU-EPPJMO-PROJECT «European traditions in Russian Education system: foundation for talent mobility / ETRMO».
The meeting was held by General Director of European Business Association in Russia, Dr. Frank Schauff. The meeting was adapted to the student audience, friendly and informal.
AEB consists of enterprises and entrepreneurs from the European Union Member States (EU) and European Free Trade Association (EFTA), which do business with and / or in the Russian Federation. These members form the General Assembly of the Association of European Businesses, defining the overall strategy and policies of the association.
AEB was established in 1995 on the initiative of several European companies registered in the Russian Federation, the ambassadors of EU member states and heads of delegation of the European Commission in the Russian Federation.
Dr. Frank Schauff was elected as General Director in June 2007 and re-elected in April 2013 for the third term. Dr. Schauff’s professional and academic experience positions the AEB to promote and expand recognition in Russian and allows to engage in lobbying and political consulting.
Before joining the AEB, Dr. Schauff held the post of Advisor on Foreign Policy to the Party Executive of the Social Democratic Party of Germany (SPD) from 2001.
Dr. Schauff has had a deep interest in Russia since his days as a student of Russian Studies at the University of Cologne and Volgograd State University (USSR). He went on to take a degree in Economic History and Political Science at the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE) and a Masters Degree in The Government and Politics of Russia and Economic History. He obtained his doctorate in East European history from the University of Cologne in 2000, and spent a number of years as a lecturer in East European studies at the Free University in Berlin.
The AEB committees and working groups represent the interests of European businesses in Russia by:
Working together with the Russian authorities in order to improve the investment climate in the interest of European businesses
Providing private, as well as open, discussion forums in which committee members share information, expertise and experience
Providing the European business community with up-to-date information on various fields and sectors through seminars, briefings and round tables.

The event was organized by the Coordinator of the Erasmus plus project, Deputy Head of the Department marketing Ph. D. Degtereva Ekaterina.
The visiting seminar was attended by researchers, leading teachers and students.
